  1. It feels like ages since i last posted. So when i did my degree i worked through the Agle Methodology know as SCRUM, which was alright because there were a few of us working on the project, I'm now starting my first project as a solo act for the first time in a few years now and what i now relise is that the SCRUM methodology doesn't work for solo projects, they kind of assume that you have at least one other person that could or couldn't be involved in the development but provides the kick up the ass to get things done. I'm trying to avoid having the extra person cause it's more or less a project i want to see where i can get it to and try flog it off to people, ha ha. Have people here used some style of project development methodology to help move there projects along. looking for any idea of ones i could try or any tips you can advise on Cheers all

    MySQL FULLTEXT search problem

Ok so i'm still trying to get my head around this search method. Database is MyISAM type Table: People id (PK, INT, NN) FirstName ( TEXT, NN ) MiddleName (TEXT, Null ) LastName (Text, NN) i have this FULLTEXT( FirstName, MiddleName, LastName ) Say i have 3 records Jane Mary Doe John Freddy Doe Fred Matthew Smith if i run: SELECT *, MATCH(FirstName, MiddleName, LastName) AGAINST ('Jane') as Score FROM People WHERE MATCH(FirstName, MiddleName, LastName) AGAINST ('Jane') i get the Jane record, but if i run SELECT *, MATCH(FirstName, MiddleName, LastName) AGAINST ('Doe') as Score FROM People WHERE MATCH(FirstName, MiddleName, LastName) AGAINST ('Doe') i get nothing OR if i run: SELECT *, MATCH(FirstName, MiddleName, LastName) AGAINST ('Fred') as Score FROM People WHERE MATCH(FirstName, MiddleName, LastName) AGAINST ('Fred')[/code] i only get one record Is this how the FULLTEXT search works and i'm wrong about it matching Fred with Freddy, or even notshowing any 'Doe' records Any help would be great Thanks

    Multiple DNS iPod Touch

I wouldn't think there would be much speed increase, the DNS server only stores the address of the domain name, even if you change the speed increase would be a matter of milliseconds, not fast enough to notice. if you did want to change the DNS i would recommend looking for one that is closest to your location or has the lowest ping, but like i said the end result wouldn't be noticeable.
