Account management

A Novabench account lets you collect test results in a personal dashboard, access comparison features, and manage your subscription. This page covers account creation, sign-in methods, and profile management.

Creating an account

You can create a Novabench account directly from the desktop app or from the Novabench website. An account is free to create and is not required to run benchmarks or view local results.

An account is required to:

  • Access Plus, Pro, or Team subscription features
  • View your results in the personal web dashboard
  • Sync results across devices

Sign-in

Novabench sends a one-time password (OTP) to your inbox. Enter the code in the app to complete sign-in.

Email OTP does not require a password. Each sign-in generates a new code, so there is nothing to remember or store.

Note

Novabench does not use traditional username and password authentication. All sign-in methods use secure token-based flows to avoid password-related security risks.

Managing your profile

After signing in, you can manage your profile from the account settings screen in the Novabench app.

Profile settings

  • Name: your display name, shown on public result pages if you share results
  • Email: the email address associated with your account.
  • Privacy: you can mark your profile as private (default setting in Plus and Pro).
  • Subscription updates: receive infrequent emails about Novabench product updates

Activating Subscriptions

Plus, Pro, and Team subscriptions are managed through your account. You can upgrade from the pricing page.

When you upgrade:

  1. Open the Novabench app and go to your account settings (top-left of screen). Sign in if you aren't already.
  2. Under your account settings, "Refresh Account" to retrieve and activate your subscription.

Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel at any time, and your subscription features remain active until the end of the current billing period. Manage your subscription in your account billing settings

Submitting results with an account

When you are signed in and submit benchmark results, Novabench associates the results with your account. This enables:

  • Result history: view all your past results in the app or on the personal web dashboard
  • Cross-device comparison: compare results from different machines you have tested
  • Public profile: if your profile is not set to private, your shared results link to your profile

You can also submit results without an account, but those results remain anonymous. Signing in before submitting ensures your results are saved to your account.

Deleting your account

If you want to delete your Novabench account and all associated data, contact Novabench support. Account deletion removes your account and all associated data permanently. Local results stored on your device are not affected.
