Plans and features
Novabench offers three plans for individual users: Free, Plus, and Pro. Every plan includes the full benchmark suite, and each higher tier adds more analysis, monitoring, and workflow tools. This page covers what each plan includes so you can choose the right fit.
Free
Novabench Free gives you the core benchmarking experience at no cost. You do not need an account to run tests or view results.
What you get:
- Full benchmark suite: CPU, GPU, Memory, Storage, and NPU (where hardware is detected)
- Overall Novabench Score comparable across all platforms and users
- Score histograms showing where your results fall in the broader population
- Basic system information (CPU, GPU, Memory, Storage, OS)
- Boot Times local history and basic transition detail on Windows and Linux
- Stress test with CPU, GPU, and VRAM targets in sequential mode
- Speed test with download/upload speed, idle latency, and packet loss
- Visual traceroute to novabench.com (ICMP protocol)
- DNS benchmark with system and public resolvers (UDP protocol)
- Shareable result links
Free covers everything you need to test your system and get a general sense of where it stands. If you want deeper insight into how your specific hardware compares, Plus adds targeted comparison tools.
Plus
Plus builds on Free with comparison analytics, sensor monitoring, and advanced diagnostics. Plus is designed for enthusiasts and power users who want to understand their system in detail.
Everything in Free, and:
- Percentile rankings: compare your scores against systems with the same hardware model. See where you rank versus identical configurations, same-generation hardware, and all systems.
- Bottleneck analysis: identifies whether your CPU or GPU is limiting performance during 3D rendering workloads.
- Health indicators: pass, warning, and fail status for each component's score, temperature, and power draw compared to the same hardware.
- Sensor monitoring: real-time CPU and GPU temperature, power draw, and clock speed tracking. Historical views spanning 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or 1 year.
- Sensor data in results: temperature, power, and clock speed readings captured during benchmarks and stress tests.
- Explain: plain-English analysis of your benchmark results with recommendations tailored to your use case.
- Battery health tracking: monitor design capacity versus full-charge capacity, discharge rates, and cycle count over time.
- Advanced network diagnostics: loaded latency, jitter, and MOS quality scores in speed tests. Custom traceroute targets with UDP and TCP protocols and configurable hops and rounds. DNS testing with DoT, DoH, and DoQ protocols and DNSSEC validation.
- Continuous network monitoring: run ongoing traceroute sessions that update in real time.
- WiFi signal charting: track WiFi signal strength, quality, and frequency during network tests.
- Compare without submitting: view percentile rankings using the Novabench database without adding your results to the public dataset.
- PDF reports: generate formatted reports with your scores, system details, and comparison data.
- Advanced stress test results: sensor charts (temperature and frequency over time), sortable results grid, cloud submission, and result comparison.
- Inspect System history: sensor and battery health charts over time, benchmark and network result trends, and OS update status.
- Boot Times analysis: compare startup, resume, shutdown, and sleep durations with the system's typical range, then review phase timing and recorded contributors.
- Crash analysis: open a crash report to see the decoded call stack, the module responsible, and how confident that attribution is.
Pro
Pro extends Plus with professional workflow tools and data export. Pro is designed for professionals who need full performance analysis or work across multiple machines.
Everything in Plus, and:
- Battery run-down testing: run multi-scenario battery drain profiles (idle, web browsing, video playback, CPU-intensive workloads) with detailed discharge curves and runtime estimates.
- Portable mode: run Novabench from a USB drive or any folder without installing. Novabench stores results and settings alongside the executable.
- CSV and JSON export: download benchmark, stress test, network, and battery results in machine-readable formats for spreadsheets, reports, or automated workflows. Pro also exports Boot Times history and the software, driver, and crash lists to CSV.
- Security posture: the state of the platform's built-in protections, reported so an unreadable value is never mistaken for a disabled one.
- Warranty and coverage: device warranty and support entitlements read from OEM management software on Windows or AppleCare coverage on macOS. See warranty and coverage for the prerequisites.
- Result tagging: add serial numbers, hostnames, usernames, and custom key-value tags to results for identification and filtering.
- Parallel stress testing: run CPU, GPU, and VRAM stress tests simultaneously instead of sequentially.
- Personal web dashboard: view and manage submitted results from any browser.
- Bootstrapped test deployment: deploy preconfigured benchmark sessions to other machines.

For teams
Novabench also offers team-focused plans (Evaluate, Validate, Resolve) for IT professionals managing hardware across a fleet. Team plans include everything in Pro plus fleet management, baselines, regression testing, monitoring agents, and more.
Two capabilities are exclusive to Team plans:
- Application workload tests: run real operations inside real applications across Productivity, Creative Design, Development, Data Science, AI, and Validation categories. Novabench measures how your system handles specific applications, such as Adobe Photoshop, Blender, and Microsoft Office, rather than raw hardware throughput. Each suite needs its application installed.
- CLI access: available on Validate and higher plans.
Team features are covered in the Novabench for Work documentation.
Choosing a plan
- Free is the right choice if you want to benchmark your system and see general comparison data. It covers the full benchmark suite and basic stress and network testing.
- Plus is the right choice if you want to understand how your specific hardware compares, track system health over time, or get plain-English analysis of your results.
- Pro is the right choice if you need application-level testing, data export for reporting, or portable testing across machines.
You can upgrade or change plans at any time from the Novabench app or the Novabench website.
