Features
Portable mode
Portable mode lets you run Novabench directly from a USB drive, external storage, or network location without installing anything on the target machine. This is useful for field testing, evaluating shared machines, or benchmarking systems in environments where you cannot install software.
How portable mode works
In portable mode, Novabench stores its database and configuration alongside the executable. Novabench Portable leaves no persistent data, services, or registry entries on the host machine.
This means you can:
- Carry Novabench on a USB drive and test any compatible machine
- Run benchmarks on shared or locked-down computers
- Test a batch of machines in sequence without repeated installations
- Use a network drive to distribute Novabench across multiple workstations
