Nathan, I am very happy with my scores except my gtx 970 scores low in comparison with their average whichy is in the 900 range... I was able to increased the 3d score somewhat from 639 to 658 by using Zotac Firestorm small and safe overclock...

Why are my gtx 970 scoring low? it is not just with Novabench, passmark scores are also low way under the averages. Thank you.

Few things to check right away: Are you getting enough power to the card? Is in it the highest speed PCIe slot (this may make less of a difference).

Nathan, I upgraded the PSU to a 750 watts when I bought the 970. I am using a good slot plus the additional six pin connector. So I believe it is getting enough power. Now, how do I check to see if it is getting enough power?

Thank you.
