Poor GPU performance from a great card

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Scratching my head trying to figure out what could be wrong. I'm at a total loss, to explain it and was wondering if any here had a clue?

AMD A10 CPU with GTX 980 gives horrible benchmark (Score: 3) and poor gaming experience as well.

Much appreciated for any clue where to look.

Ignoring the thread hijack.

So I assume no one ever seen a GPU score of 3 before?

Something wrong here. Others on this board complain about low scores when theirs are in the 100's, lol.

a three(3) !!! I got a 3. if they had a list for lowest benchmarks ever I would be winning the GPU list ;-)

Wow, yeah that's not good. What vendor is your 980 from? They probably have a utility to view card info. Otherwise, check GPU-Z

Usually a GPU under performing isn't getting enough power, but that score indicates something more serious might be the problem

I also have the same low score.  I am running Nvidia GeForce 1060 with 6GB.  My score was 640!  I also have my card overclocked using the

MSI AFterburner.  I will continue to see if I can figure this out.  I might take my card out and see if there is dust ect clogging up the fan

...but I doubt it.
