Extreme underperformance

Recommended Posts

I have had this PC since August 2015, and for the first 2-3 months it worked amazing. However, ever since then, i have had the most pitiful performances imaginable. I eventually had it and decided i needed to get help when i cant even run League of Legends at 60 FPS at minimum settings. Compared to other people with similar hardware, there is something clearly wrong. Any advice would be amazing.

That's definitely not good at all!

There are a few things to check right away:

  • BIOS warnings or misconfiguration. You might want to reset it to factory defaults, in case something hidden got set improperly
  • Check the temperatures are ok (e.g. with Real Temp or Speed Fan)
  • Check the power supply is working properly to deliver enough power. Intel Power Gadget might help
  • Check the RAM for failures with MemTest86+. Also check that they're in the correct sockets (from your motherboard manual)
