There's not a lot to do without replacing the motherboard. You've got the top CPU for AM3+ sockets. You could get more RAM or a new GPU.

Yeah, take a look at the task manager to check your memory usage when you're using a typical high workload. If it's not close, don't worry, but if so, maybe even another 8GB would help.

You mentioned that with out a new motherboard I could not upgrade anything else.

Can you expand on this please.

What exactly is my motherboard limiting me from doing?

Motherboards are only compatible with certain CPU type. Yours only supports AM3+ socket CPUs. Your CPU is the fastest available that uses that socket type, and is a pretty good processor, but if you want a newer one then you need a new motherboard.

For example, AMD AM4 socket CPUs are coming later this year. Or Intel LGA1151 is the latest from Intel. Also your motherboard only supports DDR3 RAM. DDR4 (faster RAM) is currently out for Intel chipsets, and soon for AMD.

It's a big expense to change out the motherboard and CPU, so that's your choice. If you just want smaller upgrades you're limited to GPU, RAM and Disk drive changes basically.

I really wouldn't mess with the processor. It's quite powerful. Your RAM looks good also. The only thing I'd recommend is maybe a better GPU, but I can't say that because I don't know what you use your computer for. So that being said, what do you use your computer for?

Its just a gaming PC.

Just been bitten by the upgrade bug lately.

Interested in upgrading what I can as long as its worth it.

I know from what has been said that my Pc is looking ok, GPU seems to be the logical next move.

Thanks for all the help btw.
