RoadGhost400 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2015 Hoping for some good advice. My daughters MacBook Air got OJ spilled on keyboard and stopped working. Sent it back to BestBuy who said it needed a complete rebuild. When they returned the Mac it surprising started to work. I had reinstalled Office and it limped along. Keys are a little sticky but work. The issue is that it is very slow and I don't know if there are any utilities that can resolve or if a small amount of work is needed on hardware - I do not want to pay for a rebuild as it costs more than buying new. Below are my NovaBench results. Grateful for any advice you can offer. NickPick528 4 Report post Posted December 13, 2015 Hi RoadGhost, I don't know much about MacBooks, but that is a terrible score for that system. Literally everything is extremely underperforming. And is the hard drive really only 11gb? The only thing I can think of is to just get it replaced by apple. unless Nathan (who should be replying soon) has any suggestions otherwise, I;d just get it replaced. Because if Bestbuy cleaned it out and rebuilt it, I don't have any idea what could be wrong with it. Sorry.
Nathan 73 Report post Posted December 13, 2015 Yeah, that's nowhere near the score you should get If you can, take it to an Apple Store. They'll be able to run a better diagnostic at the genius bar.
