rfin16 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2015 Was this problem ever solved? Also as you suggest you have Intel Core i7 870 2.93GHz running at 2931 MHz why does Windows 10 tell me this CPU is not supported? That s the same CPU I amusing on his Windows 7 machine. When I first ran their requirements test it was cleared but now is rejected? Is that an error or is the CPU inadequate to install Windows 10 or run it well? Thank you for letting me know. Nathan 73 Report post Posted December 19, 2015 Where is it telling you your CPU is not supported?
rfin16 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2015 This information is provided in the Get Windows 10 prompt when I click on it or when it pops up. It now says "unfortunately this PC is unable to run Windows 10. It also provides a "convenient" link to check out new computers at the Microsoft Store. Thanks for letting me know where to look for advice on how to upgrade.
Nathan 73 Report post Posted December 20, 2015 Your CPU is absolutely able to run Windows 10. That prompt is incorrect. Maybe this will help: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-win_upgrade/unfortunately-this-pc-is-unable-to-run-windows-10/cbf9b177-dd73-47f3-b66a-4b1051092e2d
