RAM memory

Recommended Posts

That speed sounds normal for that type of RAM. You could potentially update to DDR2 1066MHz.

However you may find it cheaper to upgrade your motherboard and get DDR3, as DDR2 is no longer in really produced. You can achieve much higher speeds with DDR3.

The RAM speed would also be affected by the CPU and the buses on the motherboard. Essentially how fast data can be sent to the RAM, which may be lower than what the RAM itself is capable of.
