please help me fast! Drive Write Speed: 4MB/s

Hello everyone,

my drive write speed is such low, what can i do to improve speed?

Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series

3583 MB System RAM (Score: 106)
- RAM Speed: 4025 MB/s

CPU Tests (Score: 343)
- Floating Point Operations/Second: 101518908
- Integer Operations/Second: 260980784
- MD5 Hashes Generated/Second: 734307

Graphics Tests (Score: 84)
- 3D Frames Per Second: 268

Hardware Tests (Score: 8)
- Primary Partition Capacity: 596 GB
- Drive Write Speed: 4 MB/s

checked already:

- dma enabled

- run defragmentation

- checked errors for HDD

Is the speed consistently low? Looks like if you've already done those steps, including no SMART errors, you might want to get a new hard drive.

hey nathan,

thx for your reply. the speed is consistently low, but the weird thing is, that another checking tool results everything is ok with the speed! but it isnt! i will check for SMART errors in the bios. hopefully i will get some clear results. then i have to try a new hdd :(
