guess overall score aint to bad for a laptop.. but it seems like the hdd test is a bit off.. anything settings or something wrong or is it just the benchmark program?

Actually 188Mb/s is pretty respectable, does seem somewhat slow for an ssd though depending on the brand and what generation it is. But a couple things you can do to help the score out are defrag your hdd then completely reboot your system and rerun the test first thing after you reboot.

So I thought about my previous comment and realized how wrong part of it was you shouldn't need to defrag its and ssd.. and from the info I've seen on your ssd its rated at 540MB/s for Sequential Read and 520MB/s for Sequential Write . But that's under ideal conditions. Just try rebooting then testing and stop as many apps as you can before you test. sorry about my bit of bad advise up there

Novabench has some issues with certain SSDs, that's likely why it shows a little slow than it should be. Will be fixed in the next version.

And yeah, be careful with firmware updates. Defragging your SSD isn't advisable either. As the seek time for a file is uniform across an SSD, there's no advantage to defragging.

Hi first off GREAT Free quick simple benchmark MANY MANY thanks - after trying many to many other over complicated benchmarks this is great !!!! so many thanks!!!!

As above seeing some issues on SSD - in my Case I have this its a hbrid -:

Seagate 750GB Momentus XT 2.5" Hybrid SSD/HDD - SATA-III 7200RPM 32MB Cache - OEM

http://www.ebuyer.com/321969-seagate-750gb-solid-state-hybrid-drive-sshd-st750lx003

Review read well and some bench marks showing as ok would not say amazing but on a cost to space on hybrid ticked the boxes for my budget and in use I am using this on a PC not Laptop - Windows booting very quick and OS feel's quick but wanted to see it on paper if you know what I mean and I get this on Nova -:

ardware Tests (Score: 34)
- Primary Partition Capacity: 699 GB
- Drive Write Speed: 54 MB/s

Have checked my mobo and all settings its all plug and play. On Sisosoft Sandra I get score of 90 for it which is ok not amazing but defo on Nova it looks like a 3 legged dog

Keep up up the great work on this tool greatly appreciated
