Unfortunately you may have to upgrade your computer if you want to play games. The components aren't really great for gaming.

Update.

Score dropped because I dropped my CPU clock closer to stock...

but my GPU is now in SLI!

Hello folks,

Couple of weeks ago I got myself a new laptop.

The Samsung NP355E7C-S05NL. Seemed a good choice after I did some comparisons.

Its not a state of the art laptop but don't need that cause I am not a hardcore gamer.

Still, I would like to see some perspective in the score I get since I have no clue how to compare it.

What you do think of the score?

Cheers,

M.

Just came across this website :) my laptop was cheap yet stylish, and performs fairly well for a notebook I think?

I have been having some doubts over the performance of my laptop and discovered this website... Here is my result (As attached). Could you guys give me some feedback about it?

Considering the processor, RAM, and the graphic card, I would expect no freeze with this laptop (it's been six months that I have bought it) but sometimes I have to wait quite a loooooong time before it can start a program or copy something from/to my external hard disc.

Should I take it back to where I bought and demand a check up?

Thanks in advance.

Certainly everything seems fine according to the specs and the benchmark. Does it have a hard drive or an SSD?

Barring anything wrong with the electronics, the disk could be a bottleneck causing slow downs.

It has a hard drive. Do you think replacing the hard drive with another hard drive will solve the problem? Or must I really turn to SSD? I know SSD has a lot more advantages compared to HDD but I have already paid around 1800$ for this machine and I dont wanna spend more :s

The difference between a hard drive and an SSD is really night and day for how fast a computer feels.

That said, I don't know if your problems can be attributed to the hard drive at all. If it is the drive it's more likely an issue with the drive, than just HDDs being slow in general. You should run a SMART check on your drive: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_S.M.A.R.T._tools

Here's my top score thus far. Not bad for what I have. Really wish the test would read my GeForce 650 instead of the Intel, but happy with the results anyway.

mine ;)

Taken later

You have a K-SKU Intel processor, an overclock would raise the bar a little but may shorten the lifespan a little as well.

mine  but i m not sure if this is a decent result for my system :excl:

545923.png

That's a decent result. You might want to add faster RAM or a newer GPU for a better score.

Just the latest benchmark. 545735.png

A8 APU, that's an alrights score. I always recommend an i5 / i7 + Graphics card combination that will still accommodate budget.

Here are the results for my MacMini, most of it seems in line with the uploaded results from others. I will try in my MBP as well.

attachicon.gifnovabench - macmini results.jpg

Very little information on this one, I understand you have an i5 @ 2 Ghz and 8 GB of RAM but that's it. No information about what i5 you have. Based on the Intel HD 3000, I can tell that it's probably Sandy Bridge.

Hey all., I'm new to the forum. And new to computers. I just bought a new imac. It's for editing video. I have Premier Pro CC and I need it for editing effects. I had another iMac but it would crash with some effects and needed to upgrade. my new imac is 27-inch, Late 2013, Processor 3.5 GHz Intel Core i7, Memory 24 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB, and Software OS X 10.9.1 (13B42). And if any one out there could give me there opinion on this computer. I would really appreciate. Below are my stats. Thanks so much, and wish you all the best! :)

Also if i'm running a mac and windows 7 on a 50/50 partision would that effect the score.

Intel Core i7 running at 3500MHz
Mac OS X 10.9.1
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M
