Installed a new, slightly faster SSD as my system drive:

Next month I'll be setting up SSD RAID on my PC. I'm curious to see what difference, if any, this will make on the drive's write speed. Right now it's 93 MB/s.

Hi, I've done the benchmark and this is my score:

273834.png

I've seen a couple of thing that could be weird:

Hardware Tests (Score: 24) -> Is It ok? I think that it could be a little bit low... Is my hard drive running ok?

And also the program says that my CPU is an Intel Core i5 running at 2000 MHz, but It runs at 2,8GHz

The average score of the iMac 11,3 is 970 according this: http://novabench.com/topmacs.php but mine is 916.

Anybody can give me some advice?

Thanks!

I would say your mac is running within specifications. Some of the macs on the top scores page may be running SSDs, bringing the overall average up. Your hardware score is normal for a regular hard drive.

How do I make my computer go as fast as some of the i72600K processor here. I notice mine is a littler slower.

Notice that the 2600K score average is overclocked to 3.5GHz. Your score is correct for the stock clock speed.

Your hard drive is also very fast. The hardware score is simply only a small portion of the overall score, which is why it's only 18.

My 30GB SSD is only scoring 9 and says 91 MB/s write speeds should be around 260MB/s, and scoring 9 just because it has a 30GB capacity?
Plus Only getting 1.2K FPS on the test does not seem like my crossfire is working with the test.

We are reworking the hard drive portion of the test for a future version. Some SSDs don't test well. In addition, the size will no longer be counted. This has been planned for some time, however the release is taking a little longer than expected. It should come out in the next few months.

It's the expected score. Check out http://novabench.com/topmacs.php. MBP 6,2 with average of 6.5GB RAM scores 673. Your 8GB puts you above that.

The only thing you might be able to do here is add more RAM. You could also replace the hard drive with an SSD, however this might be too expensive to be worth it.

In response to your comment, the 3mo average is simply the average of the scores submitted to Novabench over the past 3 months.
