Slow, but reliable. (like me)

Figured I'd also test the laptop. (2009 Compaq Presario CQ60)

If you link to the profile for you system, we might be able to see what the performance bottleneck of your system is. It's a very good processor, so the score does seem a bit low.

Your GPU seems to be the limiting factor. For comparison, here are the top GPUs: http://novabench.com/gpuchart.php

Your CPU and hardware scores are all excellent, so your GPU shouldn't be an issue unless you want to play newer games on higher graphics settings.

That's good to know. I'm not a gamer so it looks like I should be OK. Thanks for your help.

I had read that the Radeon HD 4290 wasn't too bad though.

Just Downloaded the program and ran it after a few tweaks. I am sure I can boost my score running a different OS that WIN7 and changing the hard drives to SSD as well as running a crossfire on dual ATI 5850's. But here is my so so score as it is.

That's a very impressive system, you've beaten the long-standing top score. Do you know your exact processor model? It appears as though Mac isn't being very specific with just "6-core Xeon".

1402. I'm kinda disappointed by the results. Does Physx's play a role in the scores here and if so is there a way to turn it off and test it? Man I cant wait until the new AMD CPU's are here.

Not bad I'd say. Although I HATE Apple, I find myself spending 2 G's on new comps every few years. I miss the sometimes pleasent hum of "Fully Working" cpu fan bought on eBay.
