  1. I am a security researcher and after hearing that "fixes" for the Meltdown and Spectre CPU vulnerabilities could reduce performance I installed Novabench to see if would help me investigate this. (You may see an uptick in downloads from other people thinking the same as me.) The product is easy to install and use, but I was surprised that every time I benchmark my test system the score increases, for no obvious reason. That makes me uncomfortable using this tool for research, but I freely acknowledge that performance testing is not my area of expertise, so could I be missing something? (BTW, if I decide to use Novabench in my work, for example, to produce an article on this topic for our blog (WeLiveSecurity.com) then I will be sure my company buys a commercial license.) Appreciate any light you can shed on this (excuse the pun - derived from your graphics test with the light hitting the storage shed). Stephen Cobb, CISSP

  3. NovaBench on Windows 10 Pro only shows the base clock speed when I am overclocked. Does NovaBench actually test anything or does it just read basic information about your computer (ie. Control Panel > System and Security > System Info - because that's what it's basing it's test on for me. Windows 10 x64 - Version 1511 (OS Build 10586.318) And I did pay $200.00 USD for this. My build specs can be found at the following link. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/AEON_Artistry/saved/ NovaBench bases my score on the base clock of my i7 5820K CPU which is 3.30GHz - I am overclocked to 4.2GHz @100 x 42 I have to be doing something wrong here, or is this a bug with the program and Windows 10? Super frustrating! Is Windows 10 messing up the entire test by reporting the base clock instead of the overclock that NovaBench is supposed to read but can't? Score System Info 2584 Intel Core i7-5820K 3.30GHz at 3365MHz Microsoft Windows 10 Pro GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN X RAM: 32668 MB Submitted on June 15, 2016
  4. I'm sure the forums are tired of me constantly posting (It'd be nice if i could get answers to my posts, BTW...) But here's another post! I ran NovaBench on my neighbors ASUS Laptop and I noticed that when I started it up, it said that my graphics card was the LogMeIn Mirror Driver... I want it to be displaying the NVIDIA GT335M that's actually in that machine... I've tested 2 other laptops before hers that have their own graphics card and the LogMeIn mirror driver, but on those computers, NovaBench shows the actual graphics card that's installed. How do I get it to say NVIDIA GT335M instead of LogMeIn Mirror Driver? Thanks... https://novabench.com/view/853602
  5. I think it'd be cool to add names to your NovaBench scores so you can keep things organized and easy to find at the same time. Anyone else?
  6. How are my Computer's results?

How is my NovaBench score? I have a Dell Precision M4800 with 32gb of RAM, NVIDIA Quadro K1100M, a 750gb data HDD and a 256gb system SSD, and Intel Core i7. I use it for accessing and running servers, writing documents, watching the occasional Youtube video, and accessing the Internet. The score is 1257.
