  1. I finally found the time to benchmark my computer. Here's mine:

    Cms progress!!

The link seems to be broken now? Did you designed those icons in the left sidebar yourself?
  3. Is there anything wrong with this code? I don't get any errors but the variable 'variable' is always empty. I tried rs.ReadLine() and rs.ReadToEnd(). I checked the url to the php script and the php script and they are both working. It completes both the try's, I checked that. There isn't any exception. Public variable as string ... Try Dim uri As New Uri("http://www.domain.com/phpscript.php") Dim request As WebRequest = WebRequest.Create(uri) request.BeginGetResponse(AddressOf ResponseCallback, request) Catch err As Exception End Try ... Sub ResponseCallback(ByVal Result As IAsyncResult) Try Dim request As WebRequest = Result.AsyncState Dim response As WebResponse = request.EndGetResponse(Result) Dim sr As New StreamReader(response.GetResponseStream(), True) variable = sr.ReadLine() sr.Close() Catch err As Exception End Try End Sub
  4. It looks like those methods don't exist anymore: Silverlight msdn: http://msdn.microsof...28VS.95%29.aspx VB.Net msdn: http://msdn.microsof...st_methods.aspx Edit: It seems like you need to use the BeginGetResponse method?
  5. Well, as soon as I type this code exactly: Try Dim uri As New Uri("http://www.domain.com/script.php") Dim request As WebRequest = WebRequest.Create(uri) request.Timeout = 3000 Dim response As WebResponse = request.GetResponse() Dim sr As New StreamReader(response.GetResponseStream(), True) variable = sr.ReadLine() sr.Close() Catch err as Exception ... End Try The following lines become underlined: request.Timeout = 3000 Tooltip on mouseover: 'Timeout' is not a member of 'System.Net.WebRequest'. request.GetResponse() Tooltip on mouseover: 'GetResponse' is not a member of 'System.Net.WebRequest' When I try to compile it, I get the message that there are build errors. On the error list: 1) 'Timeout' is not a member of 'System.Net.WebRequest'. 2) 'GetResponse' is not a member of 'System.Net.WebRequest'.
  6. Still haven't found a solution... .:( Is a framecount of 58-60 FPS good for a game (in a browser, silverlight application, on my computer, {signature, now it's windows 7, not xp} )?
  7. I use this code to acces a php file and read from it in vb.net, but when I use it in a Silverlight vb.net application, it's not working. Imports System.Net Imports System.IO ... Dim uri As New Uri("http://www.domain.com/script.php") Dim request As WebRequest = WebRequest.Create(uri) request.Timeout = 3000 Dim response As WebResponse = request.GetResponse() Dim sr As New StreamReader(response.GetResponseStream(), True) ... sr.Close() It gives the following errors: 'Timeout' is not a member of the 'System.Net.WebRequest' and 'GetResponse' is not a member of the 'System.Net.WebRequest' It looks like those 2 functions don't exist anymore... . I tried the HttpWebRequest, BeginGetResponse, and a lot of other things, searching in google, but it's now working. I checked also the msdn for silverlight, but there they show how to set up a webresponse and a webrequest, but I didn't find how they use it together with silverlight. Anyone knows a solution?
