Oh, I didn't realize that! That's good to know, thank you! It had been starting up very slowly and running sporadically slowly since Yosemite. Resetting the PRAM and SMC helped, and I believe El Capitan has made an improvement, as has Parallels 11. It's running reasonably well now for a six-year-old computer, I've just been obsessed with optimizing it and couldn't understand why it would be so far below the benchmark, so I feel better knowing it's as expected. Thanks again!
Average score for iMac11,1 - Late 2009 is 941 I have 12GB of RAM. Why do I have a 748? It was running slower under Yosemite, am now running ElCapitan public beta. Have optimized, cleaned - why such a low score? Any help appreciated. 2015-09-27 15:30:41 +0000 Mac OS X 10.11.1 Intel Core i5 @ 2660 MHz Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 4850 12288 MB System RAM (Score: 181) - RAM Speed: 4256 MB/s CPU Tests (Score: 404) - Floating Point Operations/Second: 126541840 - Integer Operations/Second: 266359456 - MD5 Hashes Calculated/Second: 943830 Graphics Tests (Score: 146) - 3D Frames Per Second: 436 Hardware Tests (Score: 17) - Primary Partition Capacity: 930 GB - Drive Write Speed: 50 MB/s
