  1. Double checked the gpu settings to make sure there wernt any power saving modes on. One thing I did notice, in XP Novabench was using turbo boost (x24 multiplier) where on win 7 it will only flicker onto boost at the start of the graphics and memory/hdd test so all the xp tests were at around 3.888ghz while in win 7 it will be at 3.4ghz... This would account for the difference in CPU scores, however I am unsure how much that will be effecting GPU Scores.
  2. Hi Guys Been using novabench to optimize what I have and have been really enjoying it! Until recently I have been using XP SP3 however lately I have been using Windows 7 which seems slower. I have also tried another program and it confirms that I am getting slightly lower scores on that as well, going from consistent 2255 down to 2160. I have used whatever drivers I could from XP, x64 drivers were installed as needed. No hardware changes were made. I have changed power saving mode to performance. I am currently on a newer beta driver for the gpu and have also rolled back to a previous version to no avail. Im not 100% sure if windows 7 gives lower scores in general, or there are further settings I need to change. I did notice that my cpu speeds seem to fluctuate more with windows 7 then XP (clock multiplier). bclock, timings etc in the bios have not been changed. 113X Windows 7 typical run: 9/5/2012 8:31:31 PM Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Intel Core i5 750 2.67GHz @ 3239 MHz Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 4092 MB System RAM (Score: 142) - RAM Speed: 9616 MB/s CPU Tests (Score: 462) - Floating Point Operations/Second: 104401480 - Integer Operations/Second: 418176416 - MD5 Hashes Generated/Second: 1088672 Graphics Tests (Score: 512) - 3D Frames Per Second: 1403 Hardware Tests (Score: 20) - Primary Partition Capacity: 146 GB - Drive Write Speed: 93 MB/s 1272 Windows XP (one of the higher runs): 8/27/2012 2:43:23 PM Microsoft Windows XP Professional Intel Core i5 750 2.67GHz @ 3200 MHz Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 3580 MB System RAM (Score: 130) - RAM Speed: 8744 MB/s CPU Tests (Score: 485) - Floating Point Operations/Second: 104845376 - Integer Operations/Second: 439452724 - MD5 Hashes Generated/Second: 1190985 Graphics Tests (Score: 645) - 3D Frames Per Second: 1735 Hardware Tests (Score: 12) - Primary Partition Capacity: 146 GB - Drive Write Speed: 34 MB/s Has anyone else noticed windows 7 is slower or am I missing something totally obvious?
