    Should I upgrade my laptop

Based on my results, is it time that I got a new laptop? I only use it for maintaining a website, browsing, emails, Photoshop and other light 'business application' use. Opinions and advice sought please.

    MSI Laptops

My desktop is beating this score of 700 points, almost all in GPU scores. My desktop computer is 780ti I have the performance set in the nvidia control panel for novabench, but I suspect that it doesn't use the GPU but the intel instead.

Thought I had a decent computer...

your cpu score is bad in the novabench result do you have a good psu? is it running hot? do you have garbage processes or apps running?
  7. I have run a couple of benchmarks to day and the last result This is a brand new iMac but considering all the spec it seems to run quite slow, opening programs etc, can you tell me if its my imagination or there are some issues

  10. I thought I had a fairly decent gaming system until I ran this benchmark... Any ideas as to what could be causing the hold up? Post your benchmark score

So I'm guessing I need a new graphics card for my Mac14,3? Can anyone advice me please Minime74.nbr
  12. here's the benchmark it's an i7 desktop i use for gaming - heavy stuff like pubg and apex. i run at different resolutions on a not gaming 4k monitor, apex 1080p, pubg 2k res. I put in a 1070 about a year ago, upgraded the psu to overkill recently (850w) and that's helped but i am concerned why my gpu is on the low end of the performance averages also does that SSD look like it's performing? it does seem to match the quoted figures
  13. Same issue on Nvidia K220Q and 4.0.6.
  14. I know this is an old thread. I have the same problem (osx 10.11.16 but it cannot update to Sierra). Did you find where we can download older versions of novabench?
  15. I have Novabench 4.06, and never get OpenCL result. Is this really solved with Rev4.04? Anything I can do? Thankss!

novabench is dying due to lazy promotions department. should be out there having monthly battles.
  18. both of you need to update drivers from nvidia website then reboot. after reboot goto nvidia control panel and make sure that the prefered gpu is set from auto to the one you want. then goto 3d settings and make sure it's set from optimal power to max perf.
  19. Nvidia control panel. set 3d slider to let 3d settings decide. in 3d settings global make sure it is set to maximum performance and not optimal. also high performance not quality. increase mem OC to +500 Also disable Vsync or Gsync

Fails to run on Windows 10 1809

just ran for me. what specs?
  21. I've installed Novabench on a Windows 10 version 1809 system. As soon as I start any test I get an error "There was a problem running this test. Please try again, or reinstall Novabench". I've re-installed it but still get the error. Are there any log files I can look at?
  22. any admins active out here?? program has bug unfortunately... just bought the paid version, im disappointed....

    Mini Mac CPU 0

I see that others have posted the same question about why my Mini Mac scores a 0 on the benchmark. I hope this is something that is being looked at. Cheers Marc-Paul

    Crossfire help needed.

Hi Nathan, Thanks for the reply, instructions definitely didn't come up at any point, here's the latest test done just now:
  27. The crossfire instructions should come up before the tests run. Can you post a .nbr test result export, or link to submitted results to help me investigate?
  28. Nathan

that test different components of the computer.

Here is some more information on the tests: If you have any more specific questions I can answer them.
  29. Hey guys, I'm seeing quite a few other people with their GTX 1080's getting marked as below average and I am also having the issue. I'll put all my specs down. First here is my score. - Ryzen 7 1800x @ 4.0ghz @ 1.39v - water cooled - good temps. - ASRock x370 Taichi - BIOS = P4.70, Latest AMD All-in-one driver. - 16GB GSkill Flare X (samsung b die) DDR4 @ 3333mhz, 14-14-14-34-48. - Rosewill Glacier Series 700W 80PLUS Bronze PSU. - Dell 144hz monitor through display port -Windows 10 Pro - Latest updates - VSYNC and GSYNC disabled - Power set to PERFORMANCE in windows and NVIDIA control panel - NVIDIA Driver 417.71 (latest as of 1/18/19) -MSI GTX 1080 DUKE OC. The 1080 is already overclocked from factory. GPU @ 1709mhz/1848mhz (boost) w/ memory at 1264mhz. The temps are totally fine. Even if I overclock this card the score gains are marginal. - Watched the sensors in GPU-Z during Novabench and I get Performance cap of "Vrel" meaning the card hits its voltage ceiling and throttles. I ran Afterburner and bumped it to 100% voltage and that solved that issue and gave me a small boost in score and no PerCap is listed in Novabench. However, when I now run Valley Benchmark My PerfCap is VRel and Pwr even though they are maxed in Afterburner as seen below. The only thing I can think of is the card BIOS? I cannot find any BIOS updates for this card as it has been discontinued. I'm not super familiar with the power section of GPU-Z. I'm assuming the card is getting enough power? Do you guys see anything in either of these screenshots that could indicated changes/improvements?
